I hope that you, or someone you know, might want to own this residential acreage. The lot is shaded on the enclosed map. You can also see on the map the addresses of the houses in the area. This property is at the northwest corner of Firethorn Way and Ruby Canyon Road -- if Ruby Canyon Road were extended another block south from where it turns into a narrow trail instead of a road.
Johnson Valley is a hidden gem of an area along Highway 247 between Yucca Valley and Lucerne Valley. The Thomas Guide page is 4484/4575 E5. The Zip code is 92285.The land parcels out here are all fairly large, so you will have ample "elbow room", privacy and views to the horizon. There are even a few places nearby where bedrock hills stick out of the sand, for your hiking pleasure. Climb those rocks and you can see even farther. There are scattered houses throughout this area.
Get there via Highway 247, also known as Old Woman Springs Road, which connects Apple Valley and Landers. Take Big Horn Road, and proceed south on one half mile south, turn left on Firethorn. Go east on Firethorn exactly half a mile, stop the car, get out and look to the north (to the left). You should see a narrow trail and, then in the distance, Ruby Canyon Road. You are now at the corner of your property. The property is on the left. There are 330 feet (132 steps) of frontage on the north side of Firethorn, and 660' feet (264 steps) of frontage on Ruby Canyon Road, such as it is right there.
Here is a link to an aerial photo of the property. The green arrow points to the property. Click "Map" to see the property lines. Click "Satellite" to see the aerial photo again. Use the zoom tool to zoom in and count the bunnies, or zoom out to see the neighborhood. This site does not support a "clickable" aerial photo link, so you will want to copy it into a new window.
Legal Description: "The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 7, T3N R4E, SBB&M Except mineral rights as reserved in prior deeds of record ", which is just as well since there isn't anything of value out there anyway
I will carry the $6,900 zero down financing for 24 months at zero interest ($288 per month) or for 5 years at 9% interest ($143 per month), your choice. Please let me know which is better for you.
