I hope that you, or someone you know, might want to own this 5-acre (217,800 square feet) land parcel. If you find even small town life “too crowded” then this Wonder Valley property is something you should see. It is located near the southeast corner of Naborly Road and Paxton, well to the east of 29 Palms. There are three neighbors to the north, and that’s about it for quite a distance. The land is behind the house at 84351 Paxton Road. On Google Maps that same house is at 84351 Raymond Road. On the Thomas Map the same street is also called Ranger Road.

This property thus would appear to have an identity crisis. There is a 330’ fence on your north property line, already built, between 84351 Whatever-It-Is and your property. There is a dirt trail, shown on the aerial photo, along the 330 feet along the south line of your property, reaching east to Naborly Road. Here’s how to resolve the identity crisis – blade the dirt trail flat and clean, put up a new hand-made street sign, and name the trail after yourself. (Or just put up the sign.)

Wonder Valley is a scattered rural community characterized by larger land parcels and lots of open space. It is well outside the city limits of 29 Palms, and well north of Highway 62, which results in pretty much no casual traffic in the area. This property has 660 feet (264 steps) of depth in the north-south direction, longer than two football fields. It is 330 feet (132 steps) wide in the east-west direction.

Get there by starting at the corner of Godwin Road and Amboy Road, already to the north and east of 29 Palms. Head east on the pavement another 6.9 miles to Naborly Road. Turn left (north) on Naborly and proceed almost half a mile to Paxton. Turn left on Paxton, and watch the house numbers on the left: 84457, 84425, and then 84351. The property is behind the house at 84351. Start at their back fence and walk south 264 steps. That ought to be enough land to get away to. The Zip Code is 92277, and the Thomas Map is 4824/4825 E6.
