I hope that you, or someone you know, might want to own this 5-acre (217,800 square feet) land parcel. If you find even small town life "too crowded" then this Wonder Valley property is something you should see. It is located on the south side of Pipe Line Road (also known locally as "Star Lane"), just west of Meriwether Road, well to the east of 29 Palms. There are scattered neighbors out here, including two adjacent to the west, on similar 5-acres parcels. Much of the land in this area is government-owned, and almost surely won't be developed any time soon, if ever.
Wonder Valley is a scattered rural community characterized by larger land parcels and lots of open space. It is well outside the city limits of 29 Palms, and well north of Highway 62, which results in pretty much no casual traffic in the area. This property has 330 feet of frontage on Pipe Line Road, about as wide as a football field is long. It is 660 feet deep to south of Pipe Line Road.
Get there by starting at the corner of Godwin Road and Amboy Road, already to the north and east of 29 Palms. Head east on the Amboy pavement another 4.5 miles to Meriwether Road. Turn left (north) on Meriwether and proceed almost half a mile to Pipe Line. Turn left (west) on Pipe Line, go 0.2 miles, and stop the car. You should see 82675 Pipe Line on the left, ahead of you. Their east property line is your west property line, see the map.
If you want to walk the 330 feet of frontage on Pipe Line Road, start at their east property line, and walk back towards Meriwether some 132 steps. If you want to walk the 660 feet of depth, start walking south, back towards Amboy Road, and walk into the desert some 264 steps. I would wager that, if you stood on Pipe Line Road and hit a driver southbound, unless you are a pro, you couldn't hit a golf ball past your south property line.
