Johnson Valley is a hidden gem of an area along Highway 247 between Yucca Valley and Lucerne Valley. Thomas Map 4484/4575 E6. Zip 92285. The land parcels out here are all fairly large, ample "elbow room", privacy and views to the horizon. This property is adjacent to the west of the house at 49076 Ocotillo Rd. A prior owner applied to have an official address designated for this land. It is officially 49044 Ocotillo Road.

From the east, when you pass Pony Road and then Big Horn Road, it’s time to slow down. About one mile east of Big Horn Road, turn right on Gin Road. (If you get to the next street, Valley Vista Road, you have gone too far.) From the west, if you pass Big Horn Road you have gone too far. After turning (south) on Gin Road, proceed south about a mile, to Joshua Tree Road. Keep on going south on Gin Road another quarter mile to Manzanita Drive. Keep on going south another quarter mile to Ocotillo Road, and turn right, you are now heading west.

Once you turn right on Ocotillo Road, go about a quarter mile, you will start to pass houses at 49280, 49240, 49186, and 49122. Slow down, the last house is 49076. The property is just past 49076 on Ocotillo Road, stop the car, you are there.

The property is 330 feet wide in the front. That is about 132 steps, you can walk along the road and see how much land that is. The property is 660 feet deep, that is about 264 steps if you want to walk to the right (north) into the land itself.
